Alrighty y’all this isn’t really my forte as far as writing goes, but I’m going to try.
Step 1. Go to
https://www.legislature.ohio.gov/
You can search bills directly off the homepage, or via you zip code for things that are hyper local to you.
However I recommend signing up to use the *Tracker* feature, because you’ll get emailed updated on specific legislature you care about.
Once you are set up with an account, you’ll see this on your opening login page. This is how you search, record, then track Senate and House Bills.
I start with “Track By Subject”, which will pull up a list of bill categorizations, click the ones you need to narrow down the list
Hit the search key, and then these will appear, already sorted out by date.
Step 3. Using the corresponding Bill #
Go back to the various “track bys” at the top
click track by number.
Step 4. On that page you will want to click the “edit list” option next to *Tracked Numbers*
Step 4.5 Use the “Add” option or one of the already open entry boxes (mine are already filled out)
Edit that list and then save it
The saved list can be updated or edited at any time, emailing information on what you are tracking when a Bill being followed moved or changes.
(saved list looks like the dashboard below)
Step 5. Check email for updates
